Job Description

The original of this is maintained on Aaron's desktop computer. But it would be nice to maintain a relatively current version here.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated or potential computer aptitude and strong organizational and communication skills are required. Must be able to handle equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. Computer programming experience, particularly in perl, php, sh and/or csh, is desirable.

Description:

Develop technical skills, build your resume, and play with computers! Be a part of a computer support team, part-time/flex-time, right here on campus!

The Earth Research Institute (ERI) seeks Student Assistants to assist our Computer/Network Technologist from 6 to 10 hours per week. Duties range from routine inspection, to assembly, packing, shipping, moving of computer systems, and simple PC/Mac/UNIX/Network administration, to challenging configuration engineering, scripting, and software engineering projects. Candidates must be punctual, conscientious, responsible, quick-learning and capable of independent work in an often dynamic environment. Hourly wage depends upon qualifications.
