Purpose
To log steps taken along the way in the creation of the data portal project.
Working Directory:
/home/biogeog/projects/macrosystem/m2m-dataPortal

Notes
- all the work be done in a directory on their data disks
- below that we will have a docroot for the website.
- Above will be various data and bin dirs.
- That way it can all be self contained and relatively easy to move around.
