Windows Server 2012

Install WSUS and BDC

  • open server Manager after install on server 2012 on system
  • under local server, run the latest updates, ensure you can remote desktop into the server and edit firewall rules if necessary.
  • upper right corner clock "Manage" and select Add roles and features.
    • Role Based or Feature Based installation, select appropriate server.
  • Add Active Directory Domain Services and Windows Server Update Services, it will ask you to add a few more features and roles add them as they are required by AD and WSUS. (Grou Policy, RSAT, WID,etc.)
