Windows Server 2012
Install WSUS and BDC
- open server Manager after install on server 2012 on system
- under local server, run the latest updates, ensure you can remote desktop into the server and edit firewall rules if necessary.
- upper right corner clock "Manage" and select Add roles and features.
- Role Based or Feature Based installation, select appropriate server.
- Add Active Directory Domain Services and Windows Server Update Services, it will ask you to add a few more features and roles add them as they are required by AD and WSUS. (Grou Policy, RSAT, WID,etc.)
- create a folder to store updates into and add that path when asked to by the WSUS installer. All other services will have default values that are sufficient.
