 ###On both the page itself and the Home Page, it seems to make more sense to link from the short listing of news items to the blog itself and not to an individual article.  Linking to an article seems like a redundant step.  Why not just place all the articles in a blogroll and scroll down the page to read them?  Then someone can log in and comment on any of them.
