NFS Profiles with Kerberos
Install CentOS and NFS packages
- Get and install a minimal install of CentOS onto a server
- change hostname network settings
hostname SERVERNAME vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 service network restart yum update
- install vim or another text editor
- install NFS Packages
yum install nfs-utils nfs-utils-lib
- install Kerberos Packages
yum install krb5
- add nfs to startup
chkconfig nfs on
- start NFS
service rpcbind start service nfs start
Firewall
- IPTables must be configured to allow NFS default TCP port 2048
